When you slow life down to nature’s pace,
you have the time to observe some of the magic of nature…like the unfolding of a rose.
I do not have any training on this subject however during my forced “slow down” I was able to observe this magnificent unfolding. What I noticed was that a rose begins to open from the outside in. It unfolds its outer protective petals first and then reveals the wondrous beauty that lies deep inside.
Sometimes I think that many of us are like roses.
We open our protective layers first and if we feel safe enough, we slowly start to reveal the beauty that lies within. Like roses, if we like our “conditions”, we will open up fully and offer our gifts to the world.
Unlike the Rose, I believe that we have some control over our own unfolding. I am not quite sure how this works with humans, but when we talk lovingly to our plants and gardens they tend to grow better.
I can only begin to imagine what happens when we train ourselves to daily talk lovingly to both ourselves and others.
