New Years, Portals and Gates…

I love creating quiet time on December 31 and January 1!  I like to spend the first part of these 48 hours reflecting on all the people, places and things that I am grateful for.  I like to stop and “smell the roses” of my past 365 days. I like to be grateful for all of the doors of my life that were opened and closed during this past year, and to reflect on all the lessons that they taught me. Then, without hangovers or shallow resolutions, I wake up on January 1 ready to pray for many blessings to be poured out on all those that I hold near and dear to my heart.

The reason that the first day of the New Year is so important to me is that the “gates of time” seem to open and close during these 24 hours. I liken it to passing through a portal, where the doors behind me close immediately after I enter.  Then I imagine that the only things that I can carry forward is what I put in my gratitude/attitude basket. Thus is why I like to start with my reflections.

And so as we all toast to a Happy & Healthy 2021, filled with Love, Peace and Prosperity, I pray that our baskets of gratitude are full as we enter into the New Year.

Much Love and Happy New Year!
