A Divine Partnership…

My primary source of Wisdom, unconditional Love, and inspired courage,
come from my partnership with the Divine.

This Partnership is open to everyone, as race, age, color, experience, or creed are never an issue. It is the ultimate example of equal opportunity. For me, I liken it to going to a daily meeting with “OZ” where I am constantly asking for the gifts of Wisdom, Courage and a Heart! When this Relationship is primary in my life, I can easily connect with the beauty and goodness that is always present. Being connected to this Source energy allows me to live each moment to the fullest, regardless of the outward circumstances.

Sometimes, however, I do not take the time to tune into this powerful relationship. I get out of the habit and either go-it-alone or rely on socially recognized experts to support and guide me through each day. When this happens, I notice that my enthusiasm and confidence start to wane. Then my thoughts spin with uncertainties, as my mind becomes vulnerable to the powers of fear, blame, or judgment. Fortunately however, my benefits from prior experiences usually nudge me back to partnering with the Divine.

This past Monday I had one of those situations. I was restless  and my mind had trouble settling into sleep. I was about to turn  my life and my mobility over to a trusted surgical team. I was scheduled for an early morning surgical procedure to remove the plates and pins that were screwed into my tibia. Suddenly the image of Divine Partnership came into my thoughts and allowed my mind to drift off to a restful sleep. At 6 am I arrived at the local hospital and was playfully imagining angel wings on all of those who cared for me. I awoke from my surgery feeling great and my entire day was magical.

Thank you Michelangelo for so masterfully describing this powerful co-creative relationship with God. To me, this image is a visible prayer. It acts to strengthen and transform my life each time that I imagine partnering with our Divine Creator. For all of the inspiration that this painting has given, and continues to give,
I am truly grateful.
