IF Only…

IF only…

How different would our Life be “IF only”…
IF only we took a few minutes each day to give thanks for the tulips, flowers, and all of the magnificent sights and sounds of Nature, that add so much beauty and splendor to Life???
IF only we would learn from St. Francis, Buddha, and the many other great teachers whose lives respected Nature in an intimate, interconnected, and familial way.
IF only we honored the role that each Season plays in our own lives, and how these Seasons help us to understand our own Circle of Life.
IF only we would respect the Gifts from the Earth and take from Her only what we need, rather than viewing Her gifts as a source of economic gain.
And IF only we would look to the future when we make lifestyle choices, and make sure that our decisions help to create an equal if not better life for future generations.

Now, as I look out my window and am awed by the magnificent beauty that accompanies the Season of Spring, my mind keeps echoing these timeless words written by King David,
“This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!”
