Throughout the Season of Spring,
Nature offers us many spectacular recipes for “Awe.”
Here is one of my favorites…
Mix together:
The colors of pink, purple, white, and orange…
The fragrances of lilac, peonies, and roses…
The taste of sun-kissed strawberries…
And the gentle sounds of songbirds…
Blend together with longer days, gentle breezes, and plenty of sunshine until the sensations of Wonderment and Awe begin to emerge.
Then with feelings of total Joy,
sit in gratitude for our amazing Creator
and echo the words to this springtime version of
“How Great Thou Art!”
“Oh Lord, my God,
When I, in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made,
I see the plants, I see their New Life blossom,
I see your Glory, throughout the universe displayed.
Then sings my soul, my savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!!!”
